Manchester Diorama Part I
I sit at my office on Market Street on a gloomy day overlooking autumn trees and the occasional car parked on the side of the road in the early morning. A long freight train passes in front of my window blowing its horn as it leaves the city. The sound is reminiscent of my train-trips to New Jersey to visit grandparents and cousins when I was young. Three whole minutes go by and the train is still hauling cars past my view, taking my attention away from work.
And I think - maybe, just maybe this city is alright.
